I have some eggs on the fridge door and inside the fridge but they're there quite a while as I don't eat many. Is there way of testing the freshness of the egg. TIA

Put in water, if sinks OK, if floats throw it away.
Put in bowl/pan of water - if it floats discard.
Stick them in a bowl of cold water, if they sink and are sideways they're very fresh, if they sink and stand on end they are still fine to eat and if they float sling them out!

You could also break them into a saucer before using. That way you will know straight away.
Something to expect is that the white becomes runnier as the egg ages but it still cooks fine apart from perhaps when frying and/or poaching because it is so liquid - it will taste the same (so long as it is not rotten).
P.S. You sometimes also find that the yolk membrane has dried a bit and is stuck to the shell so it ruptures as you crack/empty the shell.
