The parking will not necessarily be at the hotel - often they give you a voucher for a commercial park.
If you don't need the hotel, the secret is to use an off-airport park and book in advance

We used http://www.courtlandsparking.com/ a couple of years ago. They were almost the cheapest and right beside the airport. Would use them again if flying from Gatwick.
Alternatively, if you have Tesco vouchers, try http://www.purpleparking.com/tescopage1.htm
You can use Tesco vouchers towards the cost and you get 4 times the face value to use (10 voucher = 40 of parking). We are using this at Heathrow this year, but you must send in your vouchers to Tesco first and get 'Deals Tokens' from them before booking, so find out how much it is, send off the vouchers, and about 3 days later you will recieve the tokens and can book (sounds a bit involved, but saves loads of dosh!)
