Click http://search.sparknotes.com/?query=Titus&x=22&y=7 and a link will take you to a helpful website. Once there, you will see that the opening four headings are all about 'Titus Andronicus' and that each has a series of sub-headings. Clicking on all of these blue areas will provide worthwhile information. For example, if you click on No 4, you will see a side-heading that reads: 'Let us explain Titus...' All-in-all, there are loads of sections for you to get your teeth into. I hope they help.
If you fancy some light relief, watch "Theatre of Blood" late Monday night/early Tuesday morning on BBC1. Vincent Price stars as a crazed Shakesperean actor who is killing off his critics in ways from Shakespeare's plays. "Titus" gets a look in when Robert Morley is fed his "children" (2 poodles).
sorry to hijack the question but LeMarchand - was that Dr. Phibes? with a funnel?
Sorry, Bindi - just replying to headlesspets: not Dr Phibes, though along similar lines (it was made after the two Phibes movies). The first "Phibes" movie had VP visiting his vengeance, in the form of biblical plagues, on those he believed responsible for his wife's death, and the sequel had him heading to Egypt in a bid to resurrect her.
