Just read that you had a total knee replacement a couple of weeks ago. Would be interested to know how the whole process went as I'm due to have one at the beginning of March. That is if you don't mind sharing of course.

However in the days immediately post op it was very painful, and my recollection is that it hurt a lot more than the hip replacements. I have had 2 and witht he second one i was offered serial casting afterwards because it didt have the range of movement the other one did. i turned it down as i'd see far too much of hospital by then. I have never been able to kneel on either one
Hallo Maggie - sorry I've been a long time getting back. I am 86 and was very apprehensive about it all. However it all went much much better than I expected and I was home in 3 days. The pain was less than I expected and quite manageable. I am able to get around the house ok but slowly and live in a "town " house with one room each floor - 3 short flights of stairs
