MrX implies there are degrees of awfulness in this - ( order of magnitude bit ) Pregancy awful and just doing it less awful - according to MrX

Abuse is well known in psychiatric hospitals the world over - not being able to show pregnancy doesnt make it any better ... ( sozza double negatvie there)

I used to work with a daycare unit for high needs special needs adults in the early 70's All of the female service users were either on the pill or had been sterilised and regular sexual health checks were carried out on all the service users. It was an understood thing that service users did have liaisons with each other. The nasty part is that local men used to kerb crawl outside the centre to try to pick up users of either gender for sex. They didn't mind and didn't understand why they shouldn't go. Now that never made the papers!

yeah they did that ( DNA from anyone) in the index case in America and
it was fought all the way by his lawyers

In the case (TGH) where someone was giving patients a muscle relaxant on the wards ( leading cause of sudden respiratory arrest without ANY other signs ) - they fired the whole cohort ( of nurses ) The innocent ones who sued for unfair dismissal were told - the Hospital's defence is gonna be 'someone is killing our patients and we dont know who'. cant remember what the outcome of that was

...and they let her attacker out after only 15 years and he was rearrested for breaching his parole.
Her son would now be my age pretty much. I wonder if he knows and if he doesn't if new publicity about his mothers case might bring it to light :(
