Declutter

Decided to give my kitchen a good clean out today. Couldn't believe how many packets of food I had that were well out of date - and don't get me started on herbs and spices! Have only done 2 cupboards and 4 drawers up to now so who knows what I may yet find.

Last year, it was circa 100 and we're only half way through the house - the rest will be tackled when she goes into a home in about six weeks or so.
Then there were the 400 coffee jars etc out of the pantry and into black council boxes - and the rest (3 deep freezers (1 with food in and the power off for 15+years), two cookers, two fridges, one washing machine, two driers, two lawn mowers and a flymo that went to the tip...and which triggered a 'mourning' reaction for 5 hours.

I was given a secret Santa present on a night out before christmas - a really bad smelling candle that had been opened (one of those American ones such as Pumpkin Pie) and a bag of mulled wine spice. When I got home I peeled open the mulled wine spice label which had stuck together and it said 'Best before Aug 2010' Needless to say, both went straight into the bin.
