Why on earth do the news programmes insist on broadcasting live from their encampments outside the Houses of Parliament, when we can't hear what is being said because it's drowned out by the shouting and bell-ringing of the flag-wearing morons? I just turn it off - I can't be the only one.

“What sort of person?” I asked earlier
Well surprise surprise :-)

I must have missed all these broadcasts of people telling me it’s snowing in my area.
What I do see occasionally are reports sent out on location to make our TV more interesting. I personally don’t want endless Soviet-style studio-based bland pronouncements on weather or indeed anything else. Getting out and about just makes things more entertaining. To me, anyway.

Because magic folk from Parliament rush out and brief the reporters there and then so we ie Joe Public, know it is the truth and not a pack of Cambridge graduates on salaries of millions spouting worthless unresearched opinions. Simples!
