I took some photos yesterday of my daughters cavalier king Charles spaniel using my tablet. I've not used the tablet before to take photos and I've no idea of the settings. I'm not even certain if the flash was on for the indoor photos. On checking the photos in the Gallery, they all look a bit like they've been painted. The individual hairs on the dog are not visible just pure white and tan patches in the areas concerned. I dont understand what would cause this. Can you give me some advice please? The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. Thank you.
how sharp are the eyes? If the light was low, the exposure may have been long enough to allow them to move - even a millimetre or so will be enough to blur the indivdual hairs.
Thanks Jno. The eyes aren't very sharp yet the photos are well lit. Even the carpet looks like it's been painted. The dog was very active as it's a puppy.
I can't really help you, someone else with a Samsung may be able to. Slight blur would be my first guess, but try taking some other photos in bright light, dull light etc and see if they all turn out with the painting effect.
I wonder if it had one of the special effects or filters turned on? I'm not familiar with the tablet (and have never taken a photo with mine) but phones have all sorts of effects you can pick.
