. . . but don't ask me to parse it!
Tet ( an offensive in Vietnam) + rag(berate) + ram(beastly male)
Erymanthian Boar (Labour; Hercules) - anag 'Iran Em(p)athy' (p[ower]less) + anag 'baron'
Anagram of baron Iran em(p)athy
anagram (bradcast/spread) of baron + empathy (minus P for power) + Iran ?

Thank you Toorak, though I presume nn for news is"new" twice, rather than "news" twice.
Thank you Buenchico. I'm cross with myself for not getting that. Capturing the Erymanthian Boar alive was on of the 12 Labours of Hercules. Anag. of baron after Anag. of Iran Empathy (excluding the p for powerless). A bit tortuous, really.
Thank you dannyk13. I had found Tet in Chambers defined as "the Vietnamese lunar new year festival", but still don't see why it means offensive. I'm obviously missing something.
