Well after three years we've finally got a Blue Tit showing interest in the nest box.Only seen him twice but really hoping he'll decide to move in.

Hope they find it a safe place to raise their chicks.
Good luck, keep us posted.

I've got a few boxes waiting for residents at the moment.
My cousin put a new nest box up in out pseudo acacia tree in the Autumn. A pair of blue tits have been investigating and going in and out. I think the hole might be too small though as it seems like a bit of a struggle for them to do so. I can't take it down to enlarge the hole, it's too high up in the tree, so they will have to keep persevering. :-)

Well despite being a a desirable residence (in our opinion anyway) the viewer has not shown any sign of moving in.Plenty of activity on the feeders at the moment with calls from goldfinches, blue tits, robins, blackbirds and sparrows, but nobody seems interested in the nest box.Still fingers crossed there's still time.

Thanks for the link Tony,we actually used the same site when we first put the box up so I guess it's a case of wait and see.
I often find that the birds, start nest building when the leaves start to unfoil on the trees and shrubs.
I had a sneak-peak in one of my boxes and found a small amount of moss had been placed in there.
Tilly I think they'll make the hole bigger themselves if they need to.
