My dental nurse and anaesthetist more or less prepped me etc. Then the implantologist came in - took the old out and put the new ones in. At last I am at the end of my journey too.
I did get 4 front teeth replaced but have noticed that he has put like a small bubble of "silicon" behind the teeth. Is this normal - I have to go back in two weeks of checkup. Will I always have the silicon or do you think my going back to him in a cuppla weeks - he will remove the silicon or will I learn to live with it. Thanks for any answer Giz

I'll be honest and admit that I have no idea what the "silicon" is and why it's even there.
I had nothing like this at my final fitting - just the new teeth put in and everything was okay :)
I'm fairly sure that whatever it's there for, it will only be temporary ..... maybe it's to help with the final healing etc, of the area around the implants??
The reason why I say it'll only be temporary, is that implants are designed to feel completely natural and will, eventually, feel just like your own teeth.
At the end of the day though, like Sparky says, the best person to ask would be your dentist.
Glad you've finally reached the end and hopefully, when these "silicon thingies" are removed, you'll be 100% happy with the end product :)

ok Giz - thanks for your answer - I am to see him on 13 May re the teeth so perhaps he may remove the silicon that day. My mouth was frozen yesterday and so I didn't feel the silicon until I got home. And as you say maybe he put them there to secure them better for a few weeks. I'll know in May anyway - thanks again.
