I may have missed an earlier post, but could someone please tell me if we are voting in these elections. Seems not that long ago that we definitely were not, but now TM seems to be saying that we are?

The Ed should do a poll... would be interesting as I'm sure not everyone wants to post their views.
And whether anyone has actually changed their mind since the referendum.
//We’ve known there was likely to be an election on May 23//

Likely being the operative word. Until I get my card with details of where and when to vote it is not "official". So I and "she who must be obeyed" have been deprived of the right to a postal vote by the ineptitude of the current administration and the local Electoral Office. Can't wait to fire off the complaints and challenges to the system...……..but can still use proxy votes.
You don’t need a voting card (ours came weeks ago).
There’s a list of all local polling stations in our post office as well as the list of candidates (no addresses this time though!)
Oh dear, if we are taking part in the E/U Elections then , does that mean we Ain't leaving the E/U? . Bloody Hell ! Talk about taking Candy Floss from the Kids .OMG.
I wonder what Barbara from Bristol thinks.

"The Election That Was Not Supposed To Happen" What Happend Then ?
Not been into a Post Office for years....No need to visit the soulless places in this day and age. In fact I think ours ceased to be months ago in the mass close down purge. Watch this space. ))
Maybe you should watch the MSM a bit more to keep informed
"The Election That Was Not Supposed To Happen"

I expect some idiot failed to negotiate properly with the EU, failed to suspend parliament, and went begging for extensions. I blame the other idiots that arranged for her to win the party leadership.
What amused me was Philip Hammond claiming these are the elections “no one wants”.
Try telling that to Vince Cable or Nigel Farage :-)
Farage won't be wanting them. His aim is never to endure another; but remainer MPs were allowed to prevent our leaving yet, so we're all stuck with them. Worse we can't even vote for an individual representative but are forced to vote for a party (few independents excepted) and the party decides who gets the job.

Haha another leave no turn unstoned practitioner. I was asked 3 weeks ago if I was available for my usual duties on what was likely to be a polling day. I replied that I was unavailable on that day but would likely be so for any future polling event. Even then it was not a definite poll taking place, but just a get the ducks in a row question should it happen. There have as yet been no announcements from our Electoral Office, or polling cards, or advice of an election definitely taking place. Those of us with older and wiser heads would assume that this is a coordinated strategy to disenfranchise the older and more vulnerable of the electorate, and deprive them of the opportunity to vote if they are in any way disabled or incapacitated physically, or lacking in the means to travel. I detect a chance to cause mischief here. :))
Farage doesn’t want this election?
Think you might be wrong there. The old gleam in the eye is back, and best of all he’s not lumbered by UKIP
any more.
And it’s the only way, due in part to apathy and in part to a more representative voting system, that he ever gets elected to anything.
