Ankle chains ??

Wearing an ankle chain on the right leg what does this really mean?
Surely it's just a fashion statement / thing now?

I think Ankle chains used to be a sign of - Ladies of the Night - But as you say they are just fashion accessories these days.

Yes, when I was a child in the 50's an ankle chain was definitely something to giggle at - ie they were naughty ladies!!!
