We've been feeding our foxes for years. Used to put out separate bowls for them. And we've actually seen a fox at one bowl, a free-loading cat at another, and a hedgehog at a third. Perfect model of multi-culturalism, but without the diverse diet.

I’m sure my cat has had a run in with a hedgehog (the garden is a crossover point for two separate gangs so we get lots of them) - I let him out the night before last and there was a hog just by the water bowl (it’s in plain sight, maybe 4ft from the back door) and the cat gave his a look and a very wide berth.
