Water Filter Recommendation
14 Answers
I drink bottled water because I can't stand the smell of chlorine in tap water. No matter how long I leave it to stand I can still smell it. Basically, I can smell bleach a mile off and it makes me heave.
So..........grateful for recommendations on a water filter that removes ALL chlorine smells please.
Thanks

I know a couple who feel the same way and they solved the problem, not with a filter - they moved clean out of the UK which along with the USA has relatively recently taken up the habit of supplying water with significant amounts of residual chlorine. In fact, her skin is/was apt to suffer quite badly from UK water, and it was speculated that might have been due to too high levels of lime content - she noticed an improvement before moving but when out of the UK for limited periods, now she is fine. I know quite a few foreigners who dislike the taste of UK water and make a point of mentioning it.
Although american site, same principles will apply.

"the taste of UK water".... this ignores the fact that mains water supplied in this country comes from hundreds of different sources with wildly differing chemical analyses and supplied with very different residual chlorine levels.
"too high levels of lime content"...water contains calcium ions and carbonate/bicarbonate ions, not "lime". On rare occasions, calcium hydroxide may be added to artificially soften very hard water, but this is very unusual in the UK.
