i often wonder what have flowers to do with funerals

Seems a strange thing to wonder about.
One wonders what one would have in place of them, pots of glue perhaps ?
Flowers would be more likely to lift the spirits.

I agree with maggiebee. I don't want flowers at my funeral and didn't have any at my husband's (just one from me on the coffin).
Donations to charity of choice. That's more worthwhile. Poor flowers just die anyway.
