I have just about a day's work to finish a current decorating job and, given the first day menu served up by this year's festival, i will most likely see it through. It means having to miss watching my first runner but the other 3 don't go until late afternoon and i should be home in plenty of time to see all 3. Then, in the hope that the menu improves throughout the coming days, i'll be taking the rest of the week off.

Don't think you could put a line through more than a handful of these, Togo. The fav obliges in 2015 and '16, then a 25/1 in '17 followed by a 20/1 last year. And you've just got to keep your fingers crossed that your selection has been drawn on the pacier side of the race. Which i hope comes from the high numbered stalls :-/

Half way through the afternoon and i'm not doing too badly. Had a £1 e.w. on Poyle Vinnie (22/1) in the first as i hinted i might (not done the same with Ventura Knight as it's 2nd fav). 2 winners (and a place) in my Lucky 15 with one still to come. And Raucous gets up to be 3rd in the big race - the only double figure draw in the first 7 home:-/

Haha Ken I put 50p e/w on it after you flagged it up. After my other less than illustrious picks(my only winner managed to get caught and dead heated) I note that Warning Fire is another to come back out in the 4.50 so may do a little double on the last two returnees.
