Just been for our evening stroll (with my eldest daughter) and saw our first ever kingfisher - absolutely stunning.

The survey point was right next to the river and, throughout the entire period, there were a pair of kingfishers constantly diving in and out of the water. It made a rather boring job far more interesting!

We were gazing over Fisherton Street bridge in Salisbury when my wife spotted one in a tree. Luckily I had a camera with me and it stayed for 5 minutes or more.
