The ban on using slug pellets that contain nasties has been overturned. Here is the link to a petition to try to reverse that decision - https://www.change.org/p/theresa-villiers-to-reinstate-the-ban-on-slug-pellets-that-was-overturned-following-appeals?signed=true&fbclid=IwAR3HLHG-4UoSo3G0r4xT9x22cbtfgR844GDfd_e62edHsT6xA9ySf3X-toU

There are allegedly a lot of things a slug doesn't apparently like, but none of them seem to faze the slug. My pellets says they are edible plant and animal friendly, on the box. I think the nematodes may have reduced the slug population anyway, but the snails are a different kettle of gastropod.
And our getting rarer beautiful thrushes eat them.
I have the best slug and snail control ever, the song thrush and the hedgehog. Made for the job!!
