Last weekend the DJs on Radio Caroline were promoting their new C........ cards. ( http://rcsocietysales.co.uk/posters.html )

On Thursday of last week I noted that the Cancer Research shop in Maldon had got a big display of C........ cards.

Back on 29 July, Selfridge's opened their C........ department.

Has the C word started to intrude into your life yet?

( . . . and have you got the sprouts on yet?)

Strange - when I saw the question title the last thing that came to my head was Christmas!

Is AB's server playing up?

'Latest Posts' shows a contribution to this thread from Diddlydo but it's not appearing here when I look for it.
That would drive me nuts!
Yes Chris. Been doing it for the last couple of days.
Too early for me, but I have peeled the sprouts in readiness. I love your card Buenchico.

Oh, that's odd! Diddlydo's post is there now!

The word you were thinking of and 'Christmas' aren't mutually exclusive ;-)

I'll try to remember to email the Ed about the strange way the server is working, Ummmm - that's if I don't get banned for posting that naughty video above ;-)

I'm pleased that you've got the sprouts peeled, Marval. Some people seem to think that you can get away with putting them on as late as November - ridiculous!

(I'm pleased that you liked the card too. It shows what a weird sense of humour I've got!)
I like Fascinating Aida, very clever.
If everyday was like xmas, it would soon lose its magic surely?

Brunette and blonde in a car.
Brunette says 'xmas is on a Friday this year'
Blonde replies 'as long as it's not the 13th'

(sincere apologies to those I've offended)
TV is crap at xmas time as well.
oh gawd, ummm, it sure is.
No doubt Channel 5's afternoon films will be xmas themed from Sept. 1st.

Are there really people who think about/do anything about Xmas in August???!!
Might watch Worzel Gummidge :-)

Selfridges obviously seem to think there are. Indeed, they claim to have quite a brisk trade every year in August, so there must be some people who're getting ready for Christmas already.

>>> Might watch Worzel Gummidge

I might too - but will Mackenzie Crook be as good as Jon Pertwee was in the role?

In our family we changed the name of the festival of C........ to Greedfest several years ago. It seems more fitting to today's approach.
It should be the stockpile fest.

Isn't that called 'Brexit'?

;-)
Yeah...so we'll have two this year :-)
Chico is right when he says you can buy a box of 20 cards for a quid but it will cost about £12 to post them.
