Music. Not A Question, Just Curious

Is there anyone else here that DOESN'T own a record, album, C.D, cassette or any other form of a hard copy of a record?
I have none of the above. Anytime I wish to listen to music I simply go to You-Tube.
I understand that there are collectors out there but for the average man in the street that has broadband, why collect when its all available online to listen to?

I've got a load of vinyl, cassettes and CDs up in the loft. I had an iPod but can't remember where it is.

I have lots of CD's and even cassette tapes. I have a CD player upstairs and CD/cassette player downstairs. I listen to a lot of varied music on them. I have never downloaded or streamed music and don't intend to in the future. I love my CD's and still buy new ones.

Have a large collection of CDs which I usually play while driving around town. Only have one 45 single which my son bought for me after I said it was the one I regretted getting rid of - Beatles, I Want to Hold Your Hand. At home I listen to the radio.

As a fan of world music, I like to browse in charity shops (and other musicstores, such as my favourite CD/DVD store in Paris) and see what looks as if it might be interesting (as long as it's not too expensive!). Then I'll take a chance and buy it. I've discovered some great new music that way!

I own and still play all my large vinyl collection for the simple reason the sound quality is better than any later system of reproduction. My two sons who are both heavily into music agree, reluctantly, that music on my system sounds better then anything played on their equipment or listen to on other sources. As far as I'm concerned where listening to music is concerned, quality is far more important than convenience.
