Anyone got any proven home remedy weedkillers? Dont really want to spent a silly amount on a shop bought chemical one. It’s for weeds in a gravel driveway so whatever it is it won’t affect any other plants.

Or you could buy a weed burner which will last you forever. Neither of these methods will harm our birds etc.

A hoe and some arm exercise is the best way.

I have an area like that, and keep it clear by running a Dutch hoe through it regularly. In hot dry weather the weeds will just wither, after hoeing.

Mrs Hymie can vouch for salt & white vinegar(mixed together) – nothing beats it.

Our local Chinese cash & carry sells 10 litres of vinegar for around £5 and 25kg bags of salt for a similar price.

Buy a bag of salt you put on the path when it is icy kill weeds every time
