Since we have had our cat (and unlocked the cat-flap)another cat has started coming in and spraying.
Any suggestions short of locking the flap again.
I dont think ours would wear a collar.

Try and trap the cat in the house and then spend 15 minutes chasing the life out of it all over the house, I promise you it will never come back in.
Ratters answer is... possibly effective...

If it comes in when you are there, squirt water on it with a plant mister, or just chuck a glassful of water in its direction.
When cleaning the sprayed areas, douse with water if possible, this dilutes it. Then soak up the liquid with a towel and use some biogolical washing powder- only a bit- to clean it. Disinfectants just make the place smell like someone has sprayed over it, and he'll keep doing it.
Also, don't keep food out, just feed your cat when youare there. Hopefully the incentives for him visiting will reduce and he'll bu@@er off!
Good Luck.
Oh, and if you put a collar on a cat, he will wear it.

After a disgruntled backwards dance to try and get out of it, that is. Don't use a flea collar and make sure it has an elastic bit on it so if it gets caught, it will come off rather than strangle him.
You can then get a magnetic cat flap so your visitor can't get in.
I had this problem a few years ago when a neighbours cat used to come in and have the cheek to pick on my cat in her own home. I kept my cat in and placed a large bowl of water on the inside of the cat flap which you could adjust to only one way. Intruder came in and got wet. My other plan was to catch neighbours cat same way but then take it on a long drive and release it else where in the country but i never did this cos i decided it was maybe a little harsh on neighbours kids when they couldn't find their kitty!!
