Stripping By A Metal Garage Door

I wish to strip the paint on my metal garage door this weekend and I rather not use a sander or heat gun. What paint strippers are there on the market that people would recommend from using them? Thanks.

Nitromors is quite effective. It's a gel, not a runny liquid, and I found it to be very good.

Thanks Bookbinder. I used Nitromors years ago but wondered if it had changed since then due to EU or environmental rules etc.

Yep, EU rules have had some effect on ingredients allowed in paint strippers, but they do still work.

Builder; Those EU rules have reduced German paint strippers to rubbish - yet another reason to leave!
Answer to question; Use a blowtorch & scraper; gas is cheaper than chemicals & more effective..

I agree with you though, except I would prefer a heat-gun.

Cheers gents. I shunned the gunge and used a heat gun and scraper. Door was stripped in 90 minutes, no fuss, no problem! Fantastic! :-)
