Any Advice Would Be So Welcome

I’m sat here nearly crying
For the past three weeks I have been to the gym with a PT. I even got sent home early on Monday’s session as I was sick - I hadn’t eaten enough. I also walk to work every day 2.9 miles 3 times a week plus lots of other walking
This weeks diet has mostly been 6” veggie subs - so why aren’t I losing any weight - in fact I’ve put some on. I have an appointment with the doctor on 14 Oct and I want to see someone further about this - I am prepared to pay BUT I don’t know who to ask to see - a nutrition- one of the private clinics? I really would appreciate any help or advice at all - I’m at my wits end

In fact, I also disagree with your trainer... the food you had sounds fine for exercising. I wouldn't need any more than that, I'm not sure why you should.
Also, give it some time for your body to adjust a bit. I have known several people on diets, and often the results seem to come around a week later, so don't give up hope yet xx

Ok well I’m back now
I’ve got a cough and a cold that’s why I had a bacon sandwich (it’s months since I last had one) I spent the day mostly in bed yesterday with paracetamol, so I feel a bit better
Going back to gym tomorrow- I’ve got a session booked in the afternoon so I’ll be there for that - cancelled Friday afternoon as I went straight home to bed after work. Shame the weather is so bad but I have many things in this flat to catch up with
Btw - I have started the day with a low sugar bowl of granola (or it might be muesli not sure what the difference is)

A simple explanation of why you can stay the same weight but be slimmer when you have more muscle than fat:
Two things that weigh the same can be very different in size. A pound of marshmallows is going to take up much more space than a pound of steel. The same is true with fat and muscle. A pound of fat is bulky, fluffy, and about the size of a small grapefruit. A pound of muscle is hard, dense, and about the size of a tangerine.

You can eat low carb without eating huge amounts of fat. Just stick to healthier fats such as avocados, nuts and seeds(go easy on them), dairy...as long as it doesn't cause you to gain. These fats will help you to feel full. Dont eat low fat...any "benefit " is cancelled out by added salt or sugar. Eat protein such as chicken, oily fish, eggs, some red meat. Add lots of leafy, green veg. Avoid starchy things like pasta, rice, bread. Avoid veggie subs...make a packed lunch of veg, eggs or cheese, lean meat or tinned fish. Or make mini fritattas or eggy muffins* to carry with you. Most fruit is high in sugar...except berries. Try raspberries or blueberries with full fat Greek yogurt.
Eat before gym sessions...but have protein, not just veggies.
And if bacon is "calling" you, have it with eggs and skip the bread.
Hard I know, but it can work if you give it a chance. Good luck whatever you do.
