Sat in reception waiting. Heard a bit of noise. A man in the queue at the desk started shouting at a queue jumper. It got a bit nasty, bit of grabbing and pulling and lots of insults being thrown. I was quite near to it. I shouted at the men to pack it in and grow up. Another man pulled them apart. It could have been really nasty.
You don't expect something like that in a surgery!
perhaps the receptionists should have told them to get in line? They ought to be keeping half an eye on what order people join the queue, same as people behind the counter in shops do.
I had similar experience in my doctors surgery a couple of years ago, guy came in demanding a immediate appointment was shouting at receptionists. I got up to assist, to explain to the guy that is no way to talk to receptionists, then he started having a go at me asking if I wanted a fight or was I policeman, I said no but I can get one here quickly. A doctor had heard the noise and talked the guy down. Receptionists thanked me.
