Contemplating my options.....

main uses - heating chinese food etc from M&S and Waitrose, the occasional thing like pre-prepared mash, reheating left-overs and coffee from a plunger pot, the juice that I haven't used first time....

Thanks in advance...

JJ's spot on, basic for your requirements is all you need.
Sounds like you just need a basic one. Mine weighs things and stuff but the only functions I use are the heating ones.
I just got basic one from Morrison's, clockwork timer, but has all the functions needed. I would recommend it.
Yes go for a basic one which you could pick up with your next supermarket shop.
DTC - Just get the cheapest basic available. You can always dump it when no longer usable !
