My son is doing an apprenticeship and as part of it, he attends college as well so does get student discount.
Question Author
IS he able to get student discounts with a college card?
He is. I once did a day class at the local college and could use my college card for a discount. A lot of the sales assistants did give me some funny looks as I was obviously older than most students.

Ah that is interesting
Apprentices are paid these days. Students have to borrow money (that if they managed not to benefit from, won't need to pay back).
Appentices will become tradesmen and eventually earn good money whilst history of art/media studies/classical language graduates will ask you if you want fries with that or put a wee fern on top of your coffee so get their purchasing power early on.

Maybe.
