I have no problem whatsoever with needles/injections wherever or whenever they are administered...will even watch it going in (unless of course it's in my backside lol)...
The pain (for me) was excruciating, but worth it when I consider how much agony I had been in with TE.
If it's a cortisone injection it's just an injection .I am not frightened of needles and it didn't bother me ....but afterwards it was quite painful for a couple of days.It then settled down and I had a pain free elbow for ages ! Nowadays i need a new elbow !!
Ive had quite a few cortisone injections, a couple in my elbows and quite a few in my shoulders. They have never hurt when I've had them. I always take strong pain killers ( off doctor) straight away and keep on them for a couple of days. Never had any after effects of pain. The last two I have had though did'nt work, I think I must have got immune to them.I'm having hospital treatment at the moment with my arms and shoulders and have to go for a scan a week tomorrow. Good luck for tomorrow it will be well worth it.
Val.
I had them as well, hurt like a ******, immediate relief but arm seizes up the next day it is then too painful to move for about 3 days, then all is fine for a few months.
