Thanks pandabear for that.
are you sure about the dates quoted .... especaily 1899 ?
Question Author
To pandabear.
Yes definitely says Built 1899 only scrapped 1954.
Whilst looking for the answer to the above question, came upon White star Line who built a ship the Olympic 1910 who had one of the first swimming pools built aboard no mention who the others were.
Afternoon Mancunian ... as pandabear said the Titanic was first with heated pool but the question only says swimming pool so I think it must be the Olympic. xx
Question Author
Afternoon earthakitten.
Yes pandabear did stress HEATED swimming pool just wondered as the Olympic was one of the first and not actually the first, whether there was an earlier one.Spent ages on this question will proberly take a chance on Olympic. I am sure there are question marks over some of my other answers.
the reason why I questioned date ... is that the Cutty Sark was launched in 1869 and finally 'laid-up (? a loose interpretation of the word scrapped) in 1954

It is a FAMOUS vessel

Few vessels would have been around for uch a long time given the carnage of 2 World Wars.
Try Royal Yacht Victoria and Albert III. Built 1899 scarpped 1954.

If you beat me in this quiz you owe me one lol Al
