Inasmuch as I think the punishment was pretty harsh considering some they hand out, hopefully it’ll deter others for doing such a stupid thing

For someone with ADHD, not all that surprising... but the punishment seems extreme when others seem to get less for deliberately injuring other people.
and animals, can't see the sentence as justification.
that is harsh when you consider that French bloke who has climbed just about every tall building in the world never got jailed.
I don't think prison is appropriate for this, but I guess it's more about deterring others, rather than making the punishment fit the crime.
I have not read the sentencing remarks. Mr KT was aware that there was an injunction in place (he admitted such); would have seen numerous copies of it where it states in bold that anyone breaking it may go to prison and still sought to ignore it. He has already been the subject of injunctive relief proceedings concerning other buildings.

I have zero sympathy; he got exactly what he deserved.
