Just curious but how many ABers are regular cinema goers?
Just been to see The Joker. I don't own a TV so going to see a film is something of a treat. And there is something different about viewing a film on the big screen as opposed to viewing a film on a goggle box.
With all the different TV options now available (film channels, films on demand etc) is going to the cinema something that you still do?

Should of explained to them,'Be Patient. We are Engish and will get up when the National Anthem is played.
I think we did actually move.
Definitely English... stiff upper lip' ...and all that.
the problem with the cinema is the expense. If you beed to get a babysitter (which i do) it can be nearly £60 just to see a film
Bednobs, Blimey! that is expensive to see a film. I notice your avatar... I don't believe that to be true any-more. ;-)
i know, i cant be bothered to go thru the rigmarole of changing it
lol... fair enough. :-)
I can't sit still enough to go to the cinema, I have restless legs and am constantly moving them about.
Also I can't concentrate on a film any longer. I soon lose the plot. I'm the same at home, I cannot watch anything that requires concentration. I can manage Corrie most of the time but occasionally have a brain freeze moment.
Think prices "down south" are much more expensive than up here. Most I have paid to see a film is £7 which is reasonable. Have booked tickets for the special showing of Les Miserables at the start of December and these tickets are £16.30 each. With Michael Ball, Alfie Boe and Matt Lucas in the cast it will be worth every penny.
I hadn't been to the cinema for donkeys years until they reopened one in our High St a while back.It was a cinema in its heyday and then became a bingo hall and now it's a cinema again with three screens and its proving very popular .I've been to see Downton and Judy and have booked to see The Good Liar on Wednesday.I can book online and it's £7.50 for old fogies including the booking fee and I can take my walking aid and they look after it for me.They also show event stuff. It's my new hobby:)
