The officers are additional charged with ABH. There were allegations at the time by neighbour witnesses that the female officer struck him with her truncheon as he lay dying after the third taser, and that the other officer stamped on him.

This will be tested in Court. No Police officer has been convicted of the murder of a suspect in their custody since monitoring began in 1990.

It matters not what section of society the deceased came from, if excessive force has been used then charges should be faced. The jury will decide based on ALL the facts in due course.
