Strange I suppose, until you think how many famous people there are in the world and none of us is getting any younger.

True
now three died today
Sir Jonathan Miller
clive james
gary rhodes
It always seems to be the way.
Aye, there's folk dying today that never died before, as my old man used to say.
Someone told me that as you get older you get more invitations to funerals than weddings or baptisms.
Although these were reported on the same day the actual dates of death are - Clive James 24/11, Gary Rhodes 26/11 and Jonathan Miller 27/11.
The first time I ever saw the word polymath was in relation to Jonathan Miller, I thought it was like Uni-maths but easier!
The other Christmas, people seemed to be dropping like flies - it does seem to be a cluster effect. One feels poorer.
I’m feeling a bit peaky as well.
Hey Ho. I have always considered myself a bit of a cold fish with regard to the death of people who I don't particularly know. Close friends and family aside.
I just watched the BBC news in the pub and saw a few clips of Gary Rhodes when his demise was announced. I suddenly felt quite sad.
Particularly as I hadn't seen him on the box since he cooked a meal for the Lifeboat crew in Alderney and didn't know he was in Dubai.
It is only now that I realise how long it is since I enjoyed his charming entertainment.
I must be getting softer in my dotage.
January, December, November do seem to have more deaths... this is interesting, although not sure how accurate it is.
