Over the past few years I've used FrontPage for web design. It's sort of OK for basic stuff, but now that I want to incorporate much more media content - slide shows, video & audio (in a jukebox format) - FrontPage really can't cope.
So I'm after alternative software. Needs to be easy to use (I like FrontPage as it's very similar to using Word - I can't write html) and not expensive. Anyone have recommendations?
What I DON'T want to do is use a webhost or site with templates. Definitely want to design the whole site myself.
Frontpage code was a joke, even though there were ways to do an autoclean
Microsoft Expression Web 4 is now a freebie and its pretty good
but if you dont code then you need Drag'nDrop wysiwyg site building which is template based but totally customisable from the bottom up, Serif or Xara is probably they way to go.
Or Dreamweaver pricey in comparison.
I will suggest you to use Wordpress for design and development, because in Wordpress you just need to select theme. But to edit your photos you have to use Photoshop
