What Batteries Do I Buy

i have to get some batteries for my remote control and landline phone
but can't make out a code, number or whatever. They are small, not
AAA types i don't think. any ideas what i should look for on Amazon.

Look for batteries for the make and model of your phone.

Pretty much all normal cylinder shaped batteries are either AAA (the thinner pencil thickness) or AA (the fatter more like school chalk thickness). Those are in pretty much all of my remotes and phones etc in the house.

i usually buy the larger duracell batteries, but these are quite small... and i can't see the number, or code on the batteries.

Remotes are often AAA. My Phillips landline phone has rechargeable AAs. The only smaller one I have is in my gas hob igniter & labelled E90.

so they should be AAA types.. i don't want to get the wrong ones, i know i could go to the shop but don't want to do that at the moment.

Emmie, bear in mind that for your landline phone you will need rechargeable batteries.As people have said remotes are usually AA or AAA.

measure the battery in mm. length x diameter and post here to confirm?

Can you measure them? AAA are 4cms long and AA 5cms.

the landline phone is ok, it's the remote i need batteries for. i have swopped one of my phone batteries into the remote and they work ok.

Don't you have a ruler or tape measure? It can only be one or the other,

I would a sample of battery to your local chemist or supermarket, a member of staff will help you out.

For next time emmie when you get correct batteries put a note of them somewhere, I find back of calendar a useful place.
