Question For Ipad Users

the email section on my ipad used to take up the entire screen. Since the latest update, I think, the email inboxes take up only two thirds of the screen now, and the right hand side is taken up (much to my irritation) by mobile.twitter.com How do I get rid of that for good? Easy to follow instructions please
