cat scratching wallpaper

Any ideas on how to stop a 9 month old kitten scratching the wallpaper of 2 corner walls. She is an indoor cat. I also have a cat who is 6 months older for her to play with.,they have plenty of toys and a activity centre scratching post. She mainly does this while I'm out at work.
Any help would be great. Thank you

Older cats often scratch to try and stretch their limbs to relieve the pain of arthritis but obviously this isn't the case with your at who is still barely a kitten. I think she needs more mental stimulation. The toys and activity centre aren't enough any more. She probably needs more human company to stimulate her interest. Cats are by nature hunters and need the stimulation of outdoor activity - birds and insects to watch and butterflies to chase. Is there any way she could be let outside for part of the day, even if she's supervised?
