I have just tried to connect my bt hub via the ethernet cable but it says it canot find the ethernet port. in the device manager the is a yellow ! mark next to it, i cant install the driver for it off the mother board disc. what can i do to get them working?

there should be a driver on the disc that came with the hub, assuming there was a disc with it. it should contain any software that is necessary too.

I think it wont pick up my pc ethernet port. would this be on the disc from bt?
yes thats right the driver and software are both on the disc. there should be a quickstart guide in the box. follow the instructions on there, these type of things usually follow an order of connection. for example my own modem you put the disc in first and then connect the modem part way through the instructions. have a quick read then try again
Looks like its your PC, what is the make and model?
I presume you are running XP?

The yellow ! means there is a problem with your ethernet driver in the PC. Right click on it and uninstall the device. Then reboot, Windows should try and install the drivers for it again.
