Seems some are being selfish and greedy to me. I saw all the shelves were empty in Waitrose where the toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and tissues are normally kept.also all the semi skimmed milk had gone, I had to buy 'milk' that was made out of oats. There did seem to be plenty of tin food available though. I can see a lot of people going short of their essentials.

Much as it will irritae the predominantly Tory Ab membership, I'm afraid it all started with "There's no such thing as Society" from Margaret Thatcher. That combined with her rampant Yuppy me-me-me followers set the rot going, and no Government since has made any effort to change it.
This attitude brought the country to its knees in 2008, but still we didn't learn. 9 years of Austerity with the rich screwing the poor and decimating the Welfare State didn't help, because this "I'm all right Jack" attitude now permeates further throughout the population - Greed rules OK.
Left Wing politics is often labelled as the politics of Envy, but Right Wing politics of Greed becomes de rigeur.

I'm not sure it's selfish. When you see people with loads of bread and loo roll you really don't know how many people live in the same household. I have 4 adults living here permanently and another 3 visiting daily, and then we have visitors and the kids friends. That's a lot of people, a lot of loo roll. Also I make their lunches so if I'm making sandwiches that's a lot of bread.
