Plain yogurt.
yogurt, or I've used sugar in chilli, that worked.
Bit difficult, they say boil a potatoe in it to absorb the heat, but I tried that once and didn't do much. You could add a yogurt , if it doesn't cool it, it will still a tasty addition.

Add some frozen veg, peas, sweetcorn?
You could try some double cream.

Thank you great answers. Did add some sugar but maybe not enough. Do have yogurt so will try that thank you all.
In India, people always eat a little pot of yogurt after a meal to cool their palate.
potatoes take out salt not heat. You have to be careful to just part cook the spud in the whatever so you can lift it out before you serve the meal, leave it in and the salt will still be there.
