We have had are holiday cancelled by jet2 and are reluctant to give a refund but want us to take the holiday later in the year .
We tried to explain that this holiday wasn’t about us having a break it was like a surprise birthday get together.
My friend is 60 and his wife organised a group friends and to meet up in Benidorm but now it’s cancelled it won’t happen now for us it was pure luck my wife was able to get that time so we could go .
Because with have a holiday home which we use all the time we have no need to go abroad for a break .
Any advice would be welcome
I don't know about a holiday package but it was stated specifically on the BBC this morning that if an airline cancels your flight you are entitled to a refund, although they might try to talk you into a voucher.
Insist on your money back ...you are entitled to it....we had a hotel in Berlin booked with lastminute .com ad we won't get anything.....according their terms and conditions.
Martin Lewis seemed to indicate this week we should show forbearance in these exceptional times and be prepared to accept vouchers or we might find holiday companies go bust before they can refund us
