Earache And Sore Throat

last month I was on Antibiotics for a bug that knocked me off my feet for a week.After recovery i was left with an intermittent throbbing soreness sometimes behind my left ear or down the left side of my throat.I saw my doctor 3 weeks ago and was told to purchase Beclometasone nose spray and take twice a day and return to the doctor in 1 month. By intermittent I mean it can throb then disappear for a short while. however it is no better and the chances of seeing my doctor is negligible. Thank you for any comments.

Update......I did have a phone chat with my doctor who advised me to continue with the Beclometasone spray. No better as yet but will persevere.
