I would predict that they will in the next month, open schools on a part time basis, if only to ease pressure at home and give parents a break, may be 2/3 days a week.

Stay as is until the curve shows a significant downward trend, then as said by others a lifting of some restrictions to both keep the economy alive and to make sure manageable numbers of younger fitter people become ill. I would see garden centres, and nurseries reopening fairly early with restricted access. Also senior schools with split classes say half...

I've had my first 2 furlough payments (paid weekly) from one employer so the systems are partly in place - so it depends on whether the employers can do it, but whether HMRC will reimburse employers on time remains to be seen

I dont think they have to wait for a payment receipt, as far as I understand, it comes as a credit rather than a debit when they process the payroll through the HMRC realtime portal. Instead of inputting our earnings and the business paying our taxes, the software will credit back the 80% and the transaction will be a bank transfer in rather than out.
