The term 'girl's bouse' was probably a standard phrase for a man who was useless or inept, with the 'big' added for additional emphasis. It has also found its way into a Liverpudlian slang dictionary - an area of the world where they are not slow in adapting colourful epithets from elsewhere and adding them into their own colourful lexicography.
