I have a very narrow taste in music - Soul and Funk only - so know very little of The Beatles music. I wasn't around at the time, so its pretty much passed my by, but a lot of the songs I do know, I haven't been massively impressed by (things like Help I found a bit meh).

However...

I heard The Long and Winding Road today for the first time and, oh my god, I think that's possibly the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

So, I'm going to broaden my horizons - any suggestions for Beatles gems?

The Beatles played here in Middleton in 1962, at the Co-op Hall, entry fee 1/- and 1/3d. I didn't go, but my sister did. She said they were rubbish! I often ribbed her about that for years after!
almost all of their songs have something to gladden the heart.
Yesterday is still one of my favourites. but there are so many more.
One that hasn't been mentioned is Nowhere Man. It's a fairly daft tune, but the harmonies at the beginning are magnificent.
Thank you all for bringing back such wonderful memories.
Come together - is my favourite track
Blackbird and Norwegian wood and While my guitar gently weeps for me too, not so overplayed as a lot of their other stuff
