This Q may sound daft but can you aswer it anyway Dose anyone know what is on the other side of a black hole? I mean scentists say that one day space is going to be sucked in to a massive black hole it can' all be crushed into atoms or what ever you call them.
A black hole is just a star that's collapsed due to its own gravity. As such, at the other side of the black hole is just more space. And probably some stars, planets, etc.
I'd buy fo3nix's explanation with the exception of "the other side..." Theory right now, doesn't have an explanation for what happens once matter enters the black hole or even the event horizon. ..
Yep, the black hole horizon acts like a barrier to information. Because nothing can escape from the black hole everything within it is permanently disconnected from us.
problem is that no theories extend to the singularity at the centre of a black hole, and therefore can't predict what's past it.
I'm popping out into space later, I'll see if I can find one and drive through.
