I've been trying to answer all the bits - then discovered its just the village and the road - and I'll leave that to you as its easy to find.

I concur, GG, this week's offering was much better - especially since the first bio I consulted showed the the battle taking place on a different date.

It also took me about 30 seconds to realise that "odd name" referred to the second tower and not the village.

As the original name for the road is apparently "lost," it avoids the conundrum of whether to put the Roman name, English name or both in the answer box!
