I am sooo confused!!!
Have read several times now, that one can go to France with no quarantine and visa -versa.If this is so,would this apply to:eg.entering from Spain and going back ...or any country for that matter?????
An example was put...one can fly from New York to Paris, then get the Eurostar to the UK.thus avoiding quarantine.
It all sounds very wrong ..and confusing..comments please.
Is it an issue that may affect you? I'm not sure it's worth worrying about- a lot of this is still under review. The benefits of quarantine are questionable- done more to give the illusion of doing something- and it certainly messes up travel
Actually, could affect my husband he is booked to go to Spain,in July,it is necessary ..and if he can go va Fance into Spain,it would save a lot of readjusting.
It depends whether there are reciprocal arrangements between France and other countries. It's all a nonsense if people start doing extra stops to get round it. I think the original announcement was a kneejerk sop to those complaining about people coming back home untested
My niece’s partner works in the UK. He is on leave and has returned to Portugal. He was tested negative in Uk and has permission from UK to leave and return. On arrival here he has to self quarantine for 14 days before seeing my niece. When he leaves she and the children have to self quarentine for 14 days. I do not know what he has to do on return to UK. Portugal’s land border with Spain is still closed and there are minimal flights into Lisbon
It looks as if the reciprocal arrangement with France idea that was being considered has been scrapped/ postponed. France will still allow dinghies to leave their shores though
