Went to a local supermarket, wore my rubber gloves, on the way in stopped and actually sanitised the rubber gloves.

Met you know a friend of a friend of a friend (not a repeat) - cheeky so and so - after mumbo jumbo of conversation - she met me on an another aisle and said "you shouldn't be wearing rubber gloves", I was aghast and said - what do you mean, she said "hope you are washing your hands". I walked away disgusted.

I wouldn't worry, do what makes you feel safe.

that's right Mamy - but you know - when I see a variety of supposedly - 2 metres distancing all around, out and about and in back gardens parties etc - I am truly lost.
Gloves will pick up the same germs as your hands so they are a bit pointless.

I've thought that too Ummmm - but thought I was doing the correct thing - even after all these weeks - omg - wish it was all over -
It's confusing Jennyjoan but a lot of medics are posting these kind of videos asking us not to wear latex gloves, I wish it was over too https://www.irishmirror.ie/news/world-news/coronavirus-doctor-warns-not-wear-21820631
I think gloves gives some people a false sense of security.

I went for a hospital appointment recently and was asked to wear a mask but do NOT wear gloves.
We have to wear the mask ummmm, not the gloves and not ppe masks, a face covering - so a lot of folk handy with the sewing machines are making a mint selling them while others are making them and donating the proceeds to charity
Question Author
well I truly despair of the mask as I very much lipread so it literally would upset me.

I dread that day.
just tell them to yell, jj, that's what I do.
Question Author
even yelling would be no good - I truly need to see the lips but I'll worry about it when I come to it - hopefully never.

when I was getting my dental implants - the dentist naturally had to wear a mask and tell me what to do, open my mouth, close etc but it was arranged that the nurse attending would tell me what he was saying and it made it so much easier.
Gloves need to be changed at every contact intact skin is fine if it's clean and you don't touch your face. Handwashing really is the right solution
